Suluk46, one of my long time sponsors, has brought to market a very neat, finger size, extremely light weight pot grabber, called the “Miksa Pot Lifter“.
It hits the scale at only 6 grams (0.21 ounces)
To compare this to others on the market:
MSR ‘LiteLifter’: 28 grams (0.98 oz)
Vargo ‘Titanium Pot Lifter’: 23 grams (0.8 oz)
GSI ‘Microgripper’: 14 grams (0.5 oz)
You can purchase this little guy, and a lot of other truly exceptional extremely light weight backpacking products at: http://www.suluk46.com/products.html
Man, that is light. I’ve never used a pot lifter but for 6 grams, I may have to try one out. Thanks for the new product alert.
Sure thing, thanks for taking the time to comment, appreciate it :)
Interesting little pot grabber. By any chance, have you ever seen one of the suluk titanium grills in action. I really like the idea of it breaking down for storage, but I wondered how stable it is if moved around over the fire.
Hey Josh, the Manak grill I have not bought/used. The new Tulimak Table I have.
Do you think it would grip on a Fosters can?
Seems like it would. Of course, like all these kind of pot grabbers, they tend to bend the aluminium. Suspect this one might do the same.
If it works ok with a fosters that would be awesome. My beer band is 5grams, I’d happily add a gram for grippers…the beer band gets too hot for my liking
